With the Woosh phone service you can make calls to any Landline or Mobile telephone number in New Zealand (local, regional or national phone number), International number, 0900 number or any free-phone number (eg. 0800) and 111 for emergency services.  The exceptions are: you cannot call ships, boats, planes, which are categorised as ‘Special Service Calls’, and national and international price required calls, calls to Internet services, direct-connect calls from Directory Assistance, direct dial to mini call, and any paging services.

As is the case with most cordless phones, Woosh phone equipment requires electricity to operate. In the event of an electrical power outage (power cut) you will not be able to make any calls, including those to emergency numbers such as 111.

Unless you have access to a reliable cell phone, you may require an alternative back up communication option. You can purchase a universal power supply (UPS) unit from any consumer electronics retailer.  The Woosh Contact Centre can provide additional information about UPS battery units.

The Woosh calling service cannot be used with monitored alarms or traditional fax machines. Sky Digital customers will need to order Sky Pay-per-view programs by phone instead of using their Sky remote.

Woosh has an agreement in place with Emergency Services.  In an emergency, any emergency services required will be sent to your latest service address held in your Account with Woosh. It is your responsibility to keep your service address and your personal contact details update to date.

Woosh recognize that our customers tend to move residence frequently. There will be no charge to change your Woosh phone number once within six months. However, if you change your phone number twice or more, within six months, you will incur a fee of $25 for each subsequent phone number change.

Calls made in a city other than the one your base address is in will incur a roaming surcharge of 25c/min.
